Research Interests: The new industrial organization framework (integrating evolutionary economics and modern economic sociology with elements of new classical economics, and linking it to elements of new industrial economics and neoclassical economics); The economics of the “exchange commons”, with a focus on the role of governments and/or communities and associated governance and institutions, to address market failure and to internalize the role of the government, including regulation; The economics of infrastructure; The economics and management of innovation.
