Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics Honor Society)

The objectives of Omicron Delta Epsilon are recognition of scholastic achievement in economics, the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty, and the promotion of research by those contemplating career in economics. A candidate for election in the National Honor Society must have an overall scholastic average of 3.5 or better, must have completed at least 6 credits in Economics and must be a person of high ethical and professional standards. It is not necessary to be an Economics major, but candidates must have a genuine interest in economics and be willing to contribute to the Society's activities. Fees are currently a one-time payment of $30 for National Members. National members receive a membership scroll and a one year subscription to The American Economist, a journal published by the National Honor Society.

Applications are accepted at the beginning of each semester, and applicants are informed of the decision after a review of their scholastic career. The election of officers takes place at the end of the spring semester.
