Welcome to Computing for Business!
The intention of this course is to teach you how to use Microsoft Excel and to emphasize its extensive use in the business world. Topics include: formulas, functions, charting, formatting worksheets, absolute cell references, working with large worksheets, what-if analysis, financial functions, lookup functions, working with multiple worksheets and workbooks, customized printing, macros, Solver, data validation, password protection, PivotCharts, PivotTables, and importing data. Many financial concepts will be covered. Additionally, we will briefly cover Microsoft PowerPoint.
The class time will generally be a mixture of lecture as well as lab problems.

Login to your computer. If you don't have an account, you must set up and activate your account using the following link. This must be done from a campus computer.

Checking your New Email Remotely (from Home)
Simply visit this link to check your new email account. Your username is your name 'first last' (yes, there is a space in there) and your password was set by you when you activated your account.

Accessing Library Resources from Home
Beginning September 2010, one only needs a current QC I.D. which has been activated at the Library to get into the databases from off-site. Go to the Library web pages, click on a database, and enter your barcode number. It's that simple!
