The Economics Department gives awards to graduating seniors in economics and the BBA, as well as the Jack Barham Scholarship, which is awarded to four economics or BBA majors each year. The Department decides on departmental awards each May for students graduating in June, as well as those who graduated the previous September or February. Barham Scholarships for the following year will also be awarded at that time.

Awards presented at the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society's 36th Annual Honors & Awards Dinner Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006:
The M. Anne Hill Award is given in loving memory of our beloved former chair and colleague, M. Anne Hill.
The Arthur D. Gayer Memorial Award is given to a graduating senior who has concentrated in Economics and has achieved a record of superior scholarship in this field.
The Barham Scholarships are awarded to four junior or sophomore students in Economics or Business for excellent academic performance and interest in future studies or a professional career.
The Economics Department Faculty Award is awarded for outstanding contribution in the classroom.
The Henry S. Miller Award is given to a graduating Economics major who has contributed the most distinguished service in advancing the Department's professional interest.
The Matthew Simon Award is given to a graduating senior who has concentrated in Economics and has achieved a record of superior scholarship in this field. Preference is give to students who are planning graduate work in Economics.
The Persia Campbell Award is given for an outstanding undergraduate research paper in Economics.
The Steve E. Burdman Memorial Award is given by the Delta Chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon to a graduating Economics major who is also an active member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, for combination of scholastic achievement and service.
The Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award is given to an Economics major with a record of superior scholarship. Preference is given to students planning graduate work in management or public administration.
The William Withers Award is given to a graduating senior Economics major who has demonstrated outstanding scholarship, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.
